Questions

Is this actually free?

Yes. No hidden costs, no freemium upsell on the converter itself. Use it as much as you want.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. All processing runs locally in your browser. Your files stay on your device the entire time. We never see them.

What formats can I convert between?

Over 40 formats across video (MP4, WebM, MKV, AVI, MOV...), audio (MP3, WAV, FLAC, OGG, AAC...), and image (PNG, JPG, WebP, AVIF, GIF...). You can also extract audio from video, or convert video to GIF.

Is there a max file size?

No hard limit from our side. Since everything runs in your browser, the practical limit depends on your device's available memory. A few hundred MB should work fine on most machines.

How does it work under the hood?

The converter runs FFmpeg directly in your browser. When you drop a file and hit convert, the processing happens right on your machine. Nothing gets sent to a server.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes, on modern mobile browsers. Smaller files work great. Larger video files might be slow or run into memory limits on older phones.

Can I convert multiple files at once?

Yes. Drop as many files as you want, pick formats for each one (or set them all at once), and hit "Convert all". Files are processed one after another.

Need to convert at scale?

Our FFmpeg API can process thousands of files programmatically. Plug it into Zapier, Make, n8n, or call it from your own code.
